Marine Teak Wood

Marine lumber suitable for boat construction and finish, plus decorative teak, spruce, and other hardwood decorative and finish wood products. Teak wood has long been a traditional favorite due to its durability, appearance, and light weight. Teak wood is used in many marine applications, boatbuilding, furniture and flooring. Our lumber is high quality teak imported from Asia. Wood color and grain pattern can vary, which serves to make your piece unique with a wonderful appearance.

Teak is a very durable hardwood with excellent split resistance, often chosen for its beautiful olive-brown or yellow-brown color which will become more golden as time progresses. Density is 45 pounds per cubic foot. Teak wood in a marine environment requires care to maintain its finish and appearace. Without application of teak oil or wood finish, teak wood will show a weathered appearance in short order.

Wood Plugs and Bungs: Chamfered wood plugs are perfect for when the finished appearance of your project is important. The flat-grained orientation of these plugs will allow you to match the grain and disguise the unwanted screw hole. Other sizes and woods are available--ash, cedar, cherry, fir, mahogany (Phillipine and South American), oak, pine and spruce.
