Paint Masking

Masking tape is not your only option when it comes to masking off areas in preparing to paint. Large areas are much more efficiently protected by masking film and masking paper. Masking Paper is resistant to moisture for short periods of time, and is perfect for masking baseboards, trim, windows, and many other uses. It is a brown, inexpensive form of craft paper. Great for almost every painting job, especially indoor paint projects, or smaller outdoor projects that do not require masking for any duration.

3M Scotchblok masking paper offers excellent resistance to solvent penetration from all marine paints including polyuerethanes. Its bonded fiber formation reduces contamination of freshly painted and varnished surfaces. Originally developed for the automotive aftermarket, Scotchblock masking paper offers the ultimate penetration resistance from all solvents used in today's sealers, lacquer and enamel paints and clear coat systems.

Plastic masking film made from high-density, non-porous film is specially designed for paint masking and paint overspray protection. The non-porous film material resists paint penetration. Plastic masking film and Scotchblok are the better choices for outdoor paint masking.
