Answer

yes, I used it to pump about 35 gals of ethanol gas out of the tank on my boat so I could put in non ethanol gas. I pumped it into gas containers. It worked great.

Yes. I purchased this Pump to transfer gasoline to/from a portable generator, a motorcycle and 5 gal containers in my garage. It works very well if used as directed.

Yes, but use extreme caution! Gas vapors are explosive. Store pump outside till all vapors evaporate. Do not store on boat until pump is dry.

Question

I just received my sipphon-mate; it says for gasoline ect. I want to use may pump for changing my homemade wine from a cask to a bottle, is there any problem with that type of transfer? It appears to be exactly what I need. Thank you, Tom Heffernan

This product would be perfect if the seals are not lubricated with grease which I do not think they are. The unit appears to be sealed so confirming this would be difficult. Just rinse with clean water and don't use pump for gasoline. Ha,Ha.

Answer

Tom, I can't imagine this pump would have any issues with pumping wine. I've only used mine for heating oil, but it's a well-made, lightweight unit that works well. Bottoms Up! Andrew
