Beckson Newport series self draining opening Ports have angled drainage ramps molded on the insides of spigots. This helps promote drainage without having to make angled cuts in the boat's hull. It allows Newport ports to be thru-bolted, which is impossible in windows where an angled spigot extends below the bolt holes.

Opening these ports after rain will not soak boat interiors, either. An internal angle seals tightly against a gasket and lens to eliminate the usual exterior water retention ledges present in other ports.
