I used these in the construction of a frame to repair an old glider at my mountain cabin. It originally had springs and wire, but they rusted out after many years of use. When I could not find a replacement, I constructed a wooden frame using red oak and connected it using the carriage bolts. While the glider is on a covered porch, regular bolts would have rusted. Very happy with the results. I stained and varnished the frame, and the bronze color looks very nice against the frame.
