What is the preference with the two Teleflex cables? (Red and Black versions).

I purchased the black cables for the throttle and shift controls on the binnacle on my sail boat. Very smooth operation even with several rather tight directional changes. I recommend these highly.

I have the black version, and bought tfxtreme cable because my kicker was eating shift cables every other year. The new cable shifts very smoothly

It's a while that I put them in my boat, but I am pretty confident. Yes, 10-32 on both ends. You can also check seastarsolutions dot com. JD doesn't let me post the link here. Look for "Control Cables", they have a pdf...
