I installed this product in the engine compartment and access hatch of my 26' cruiser. The original insulation was dry and starting to crumble; it needed to go. This new stuff installed easily and looks good. I was hoping for more noise reduction, but it's at least as good as the factory insulation and it looks better.

The Soundown material is easy to work with and does a good job cutting down on noise pollution on my boat.

I used this to replace the old, crumbling engine room insulation on my 26' cruiser. It's easy to cut and install. I was expecting a big reduction in sound levels coming from the engine room, but frankly it sounds about the same. Good product, but I expected more sound attenuation.
