Answer

I found an arm that was the right length for the windshield and blade that I was going to need. Every windshield is a little different. You have to measure the existing arm and blade and match closely. Limitation of blade size is in the description.

Question

I need a complete wiper kit to be installed on a NASCAR. Does this motor allow it to be positioned vertically? Also, need the wiper blades. What do you recommend.

motor can be mounted at any agle. Toughest part for me was they have a lot of torque to move the wiper arm so it needs to be mounted very ridged. I did not buy a new arm just used what i had. Hope this helps

Answer

As far as the motor itself goes, vertical mount shouldn't be a problem. I sold this as a direct replacement to a customer for a tractor application so there isn't a lot I can tell you about it. I believe it was for a single wiper blade.

Question

I recently purchase a pair of AFI 34011 wiper motors. I was wndering how to adjust the sweep angle of the motors? Rod

Asked on 04/01/2012 by Undisclosed

Top Answer

Rod, I recently purchased a AFT 34011 wiper motor for my 1934 plymouth and had to shorten the shaft by 3/4" so removing the shaft meant removing the back plate to remove the shaft assembly. There is an adjustment that you can adjust to the degree of sweep that you want, once you remove the back plate you will see what i am talking about. Answer

Thanks Lee but this is a new installation and if I try to wire a three way switch it only works as a one speed motor. Any suggestions?
