Product Details

The Perko Bronze Thru-Hull Fittings are threaded with NPS (straight) male pipe thread, and are for use with compatible seacocks or with any product with straight female pipe thread. The machined flange is grooved on the underside to retain bedding compound.

The use of these fittings on products with NPT (tapered) pipe thread is recommended only for low pressure applications, and then only with a generous application of pipe sealant or PTFE thread tape.

Perko Bronze Thru-Hull Fittings are the perferred choice for below-the-waterline use. They are supplied complete with a bronze locknut.

Perfect for my 1999 Dauntless 18
By Pmo from Ruskin, FL

There's not a lot of thru hull fitting options for the the 99 whaler dauntless 18. The transom is ~2-3/4 inch so the threads need to extend well beyond. This is the only bronze fitting I could find that would work.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Good thru hulls
By DiscretePete from Cape Medocino, CA

These Perko thru hulls work with most brands of seacocks that have straight threads machined into the bottom of the valve. I like to use bronze thru hulls with bronze seacocks since it makes for a very strong assembly. 3M 5200 makes for a good sealant.
