I ordered two of these to replace original (1986) similar-looking fixtures which still worked but heated up the cabin. These are much cooler; provide better lighting; and installed easily. I have very little knowledge of electronics but I have heard that some LED's used to have polarity problems. I am not even sure what that is but I can tell you that I had no problems at all.

I used these fixtures to replace similarly-sized incandescent fixtures that really heated up the cabin in the summer. These seem to be twice as bright and much cooler. They are great for reading! They were easy to install. I did need to purchase brass screws and heat-shrink wiring attachments.
