Copper Roofing NailsSlating (Roofing) Nails have a large, flat head, annular ring and diamond points. The copper roofing nails are frequently used for copper flashing applications, and during slate, tile roofing installations.

Copper Slating Nails are often used with Copper Burrs, also known as copper washers, to create a traditional copper rivet, similar to clinch or clench nailing. The large diameter heads are typically used with softer woods. Copper rivets are utilized in classic planked wooden boat construction.

See the "Burr Size Selector" chart below for burr and nail assembly suggestions.

Just What a Mixed Media Artist Needs
By Susan Lenz from Columbia, South Carolina

Verified Purchase

Nails are one of my very favorite symbols to use in my artwork. Previously, I bought a small package of copper nails from a local hardware store. They nice but generally too long for most of my work. So, I googled for shorter ones and found Jamestown Distributors. They are perfect and a lot less expensive than purchasing them in those little packages! I used them on a series called "Nike's Advice". This series took canvas previously painted during a public art event and later densely free-motion machine stitched by me and used copper nails to attach sections to painted stretcher bars. Each piece was then coated with a layer of UV filtering epoxy. I blogged about this at: http://artbysusanlenz.blogspot.com/2020/04/nikes-advice-continues.html Thank you!

I made a built in cabinet and wanted a copper top with an aircraft rivet look. Rivets proved too difficult to install so I opted for copper nails and it worked out wonderful. Accepted a rich patina like the copper sheeting. Looks great! Just need a short nail with a broad head and a lots of them!
