An excellent tool you need to get professional results. You'll get a workout using it, but it makes the job get done with the fewest problems and best results.

The post-hole digger of boat tools. Like a tuxedo, or a heavy armored division, you won't need it very often, but when you do, nothing else will suffice.

I'm using this for fairing a foam core that will a composite sandwich structure on an electric car. The foam is high density extruded polystyrene (light blue Dow XPS) and on the compound surfaces that are partially concave, the edges of the 3M abrasive sheet needed to be trimmed off, so they don't saw into the foam. For my purposes, I would like it better if it was a bit more flexible and if it twisted (end to end) more easily. But it does what I need it to do well enough after I learned about that limitation.

It is a pretty user friendly longboard and the flexibility is good. The hookit system makes paper changes easy. One word of warning, be careful when knocking it on anything (to get material out of the abrasive for example)I got a little too aggressive and broke it in half like a knucklehead. That said, if my repair works, great, if not I'll order another and know better!

A good longboard makes a nasty job not so nasty. You may not need both a flex board and a stiff board- but then again there are worse ways to spend money than to buy good tools. I like them both- each do the job.
