I'm using this sprayer to apply a lacquer finish to a violin that I'm building. So far, I've sprayed two sealer coats. Nice, thin, even coating with no overspray or drips at all. I am impressed with this little system!

Very easy to use

I recently refinished the fbgls cowl intake scoops on my Bertram. The Preval sprayer was a perfect way to apply the Interlux Perfection epoxy paint. I applied primer and two finished coats. It is important to experiment with the correct ratio of thinner to get the paint to lay down. This sprayer is priced right and I did not bother cleaning it, rather just use a new one each time. I will note that the propellant canister gets extremely cold as it expells the paint and an cause the paint to change it's flowability. Again after practicing this was overcome and the project turned out great. This is the perfect tool for small irregular shapes where setting up an air sprayer is not necessary. I plan on keeping a few new ones in the shop for those unplanned touch up and repair jobs on my boat, tractor, truck, etc.

I predominately use this little sprayer to apply ferric chloride solution to my raku pottery. This allows me to highlight and give an irridescence to a clear glaze or it allows me to quickly highlight the horsehair and feather decoration I burn into the hot pottery surface when I remove the work from the kiln. This little sprayer is also great for applying a diluted pigment stain to small areas of texture for a highlighted color on the pottery.

I have yet to use it, but based on the overwhelming volume of stellar reviews, I will no doubt be added to the herd.

I use these all the time for small and medium size gelcoat repairs. The work best when thinned with acetone and the strained through a paint strainer into the glass jar. Much more convenient than large paint guns.

Thinning with MEKP if necessary makes for a nice touch up sprayer for gel coat.
