Am doing a very small project with a quart of Easypoxy. Hate to buy a gallon of solvent. Is any other commercial solvent compatble with T-10?

Answer

I am not sure whether or not there are alternatives however it has been my experience that you should use primers, paints and thinners that are of the same "system" to assure compatability. in other words, if you are using Petit paints or varnishes, you should use the petit thinner designed for that paint or varnish system. If you use Awlgrip, or Imeron, etc, the you should use the thinner designed for the appropriate Awlgrip or imeron paint system. Funny things sometimes happen with chemistry when different additives are tintroduced. I believe T-10 comes in quart cans so so you would not need to buy a gallon. (not sure if it comes in smaller quantities)

I had the same question and asked the painter at my marina. He told me it is not the same and would not work well. I don't know if he is correct, but he goes to classes put on by the paint companies and paints boats for a living...Sometimes cutting corners to save a few dollars, costs more in the long run....Hope this helps
