If you are asking about the black that happens on teak when it has been allowed to age unprotected, then the answer is yes. Just remember that it is deep in the wood and will take some time to work. First: I spend time on a 4 foot section of my toe rail, which is 5 inches wide, by application of product, then move forward to next section and apply, jump back to first section and agitate with a brush and move to next section and agitate it. Rinse first section and re-apply product to it. Move to second section and repeat steps until you get results you desire. It will take time. I washed/treated my wood three times to get the black off. Best of luck, DG

Answer

I'm not sure as my teak was not mildewed. It worked great for stripping the grime and old oil from the wood, though.

Yes. I use it every year when I clean my deck teak furniture.

I find it the only way to bring teak back to its natural color the only thing that works is sanding and oiling. Once this is done the cleaner is good for removing the beginnings of discoloration. Keeping it oiled is a quick job.

How was your expirience with this product?

Product works great and is easy to use. It removes the black mildew from old teak and leaves wood clean with natural coloring. Did not affect surrounding fiberglass. Would recommend you give it a try. Easier and less harsh than other products and gives similar results.
