Sorry cannot answer from my own experience I bought these for non marine environment. I wouldn't use them on a boat myself.

The answer is yes it is alright to use copper sleeves on stainless cable in a corrosive marine atmosphere. Copper sleeves work by being forced by the swage tool into the strands of wire. If you want to cut a piece of wire and not have it unlay a good trick is to put a copper sleeve on it and cut right through the sleeve. To continue if your selecting cable you want to be careful you get the right kind of alloy. Type 316 L passivated is the best for the job. It would be nice if there was a titanium stainless alloy wire. However, I don't know of any commercially available brand. Any other questions feel free to ask. :-)Flipper
