Question

What is the thickness of the top plate? Thanks

If you mean the flat brass plate that holds the oarlock sockets, it's the same as the oarlock sockets shown in the Jamestown catalog. If you mean the wood plate that the oarlock is installed in, I believe mine is about 1 3/4" deep and 8" long. Hope this helps, Dave

Answer

I'm not by the dinghy to measure it, but I'd say it's a good 1/8 inch and very robust and solid. Far superior to the chrome plated cast metal ones.

Answer

I don't have one in front of me to measure but, best memory, the top plate is about 1/8" thick. It's not flimsy. The post flares from the underside of the plate. I usually drill the hole for the post and then run a rounding bit in a router to size. Cheers

Answer

I installed these on a boat that I built recently, I don't have access to them now to measure but I believe thickness was about 1/8".

Thicker than you would guess, I mic it at 7/32".
