TotalBoat High Performance Slow Hardener is the curing agent for low-viscosity TotalBoat High Performance Epoxy Resin when you need to extend pot life and cure time, or when you are working in warmer temperatures.
At 77°F, this non-blushing hardener has a pot life of 40 minutes, will be tack-free in approximately 5 hours, and reaches full cure in 5 days.
Pairing TotalBoat High Performance Resin with the Slow Hardener creates a moisture-resistant solid that cures clear, ideal for clear coating applications. No blush to remove between coats means no time-consuming washdowns & no worrying about whether you removed all the blush, which could cause improper cure.
This Slow Hardener is available in Group Size A (pint), B (half gallon), and C (gallon), to match the group sizes of TotalBoat High Performance Epoxy Resin. This reduces waste and saves you money.
Note: Slow hardener is also available in a 26.1 gallon container, for use with drums of High Performance Resin. Please contact us for pricing.

Three Hardener Speeds Let You Control Pot Life and Cure Time
Fast, Medium, and Slow High Performance Hardeners allow you to control the pot life and cure times to suit your particular working conditions.
Even better, you can craft your ideal working properties and pot life by combining the different hardeners with each other, but always remember to maintain the proper ratio of 2 parts resin to 1 part hardener by volume.
Which High Performance Hardener Should I Use?
- High Performance Fast Hardener - Use High Performance Fast Hardener for the fastest cure and shortest working time at room temperature, or for an overnight cure in low temperatures (minimum 55°F).
- High Performance Medium Hardener - Use High Performance Medium Hardener for most common applications, or for an overnight cure at room temperature (77°F).
- High Performance Slow Hardener - Use High Performance Slow Hardener for extended working time and cure time at room temperature, or when working in warmer temperature conditions. If you are new at working with epoxy resin, the slow speed hardener will give you more working time, which you may find helpful.
IMPORTANT! In order to achieve a proper cure, accurate mix ratios are critical when working with epoxy resin and hardeners.
TotalBoat High Performance Epoxy Resin and TotalBoat High Performance Hardeners can be measured either by pouring or by using the calibrated TotalBoat 2:1 Epoxy Pumps (sold separately). If using the pump method for dispensing, USE ONLY TOTALBOAT 2:1 Epoxy Pumps. DO NOT substitute the pumps from any other epoxy system or the material will not cure properly.
NOTE: The procedure for dispensing TotalBoat High Performance Epoxy Resin and TotalBoat High Performance Hardener properly is always ONE full pump of resin to ONE full pump of hardener.

As a woodworker making a table I needed a way create a narrow dark feature strip between two different woods along a complex curve 24 feet long. The curves were too tight for bent wood. I tested other epoxies but bubbles destroyed the effect. Total Boat High Performance dyed to the right color solved it. Not a single bubble in the entire pour! Great product.
