The EasyTec Boat Cover System is a reliable, easy-to-use, economical way to protect your boat in winter, leaving plenty of headroom so you can comfortably do maintenance & deck repairs. The cover and support poles are lightweight, and the design is so simple that one person can cover the boat. Fast assembly requires no special tools.
Each EasyTec cover includes 3-6 pieces of 6.5 ft custom plastic pipes with solid sleeves, a white form-fitting 240g tarp cover, S hooks to attach the frame to the bow and stern of the boat, the recommended number of support bars, a knife, and rope to secure the tarp.
The complete EasyTec boat cover comes in a 72 inch long bag that fits in most cars, with a specially designed bag for the tarp cover. Available in 4 sizes to fit power & sailboats from 13 to 26 ft.
Telescoping support poles (6.5 to 7.5 ft) sold separately.
|Item Number||Fits Boat Size|
|BBS-EASYTEC6||13-16 ft (4-5 meters)|
|BBS-EASYTEC7||16-20 ft (5-6 meters)|
|BBS-EASYTEC8||20-23 ft (6-7 meters)|
|BBS-EASYTEC9||23-26 ft (7-8 meters)|
EasyTec's lightweight design requires just a few simple steps - you don't need extra help or hardware. First, attach the S-hooks to the bow and stern of your boat. Then connect the two-meter-long flexible composite pipes together to make one long pipe, which you push into the sewn channel on the high-quality, heavy-duty tarpaulin. Finally, thread the tarp onto the piping on the S-hooks, forming an arch-shaped cover, which you can easily fix laterally while tying the tarp firmly underneath your boat.
Using the EasyTec boat cover couldn't be simpler - or more effective at creating a double-ended protective cocoon for your boat all winter long. In the spring, it's easy to remove, fold up, and store in the handy carrying bags.
EasyTec is a very versatile boat cover frame, suitable for all power boats and sailboats from 13 to 26 ft, or 4-8 meters. However, boats can be very different. For example, a large outboard motor can affect the size of the most appropriate EasyTec cover for your boat. EasyTec is available in four sizes: 13 to 16 ft, 16 to 20 ft, 20 to 23 ft, and 23 to 26 ft boats with package numbers from 6 to 9. The package number is based on the length of the tarp. For example, EASYTEC7 (package 7) has a tarp that's 7m long and 5m wide (23 ft x 16.4 ft), . This package is suitable for a boat between 16 to 20 ft, or 5-6m.
Choosing the appropriate package for a boat without an outboard motor should be based on the length of the boat. Add approximately 3.3 ft (one meter) for the part of the tarp that is taken up by the arch shape of the frame. 1 meter is added for a 5.75 m long boat, which means 6.75m. So EASYTEC7 (package 7) is the most appropriate package.
If your boat has an outboard motor, it's normal to cover the outboard motor as well, which will take up at least another half a meter of tarp length. So add 1.5m for a 5.75m long boat, which equals 7.25m. So EASYTEC8 (package 8) is the most appropriate package, in this case.
Typically, you can also say that a larger superstructure means a wide boat, so you'd want to choose a larger package with a larger tarp. For a low, narrow boat, it might be better to choose a smaller package size.

I was able to install alone (I'm 81) and it is just what I wanted and has performed well in recent snow events.

I bought the 5-6 meter (16.4-19.6 ft) kit for my 16' 8" Bass Tracker which is on a trailer. Finally got the chance to install it this weekend. Quality materials, simple design, and it seems it should hold up well in New England winter. So, really no bash against the product itself. The fit isn't great for a small boat on a low trailer. The tarp is 1 or 2 meters too wide to secure it well. It would be fine if the boat were in a cradle or something where there was room to deal with excess tarp on the sides. It also doesn't fit well around the outboard motor (with or without extensions on the back). Right now, the ridge pole is resting hard on the motor hood backside. Not sure I'm good with that because it's going to wear no matter what I put between them. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about that, but have to figure something out. So, maybe not a great fit for a bass boat, but I'm sure it would work well for a inboard or I/O where you don't have trolling motors and outboards to deal with.

Haven't put this on for the winter yet, but have tested out the frame on the boat. It is very easy to install and adjust for your specific boat. Everything about this system is quality and it should handle snow and wind. It is made in Sweden. A knife is even included to cut the tie-down lines. It is all color coded and the storage bags are very nice and well made. I will post and update after it's been used over the winter.
