Interlux InterZinc is an aerosol spray designed to protect underwater metals on all kinds of boats. Use on stainless steel, aluminum, lead, steel and bronze. Easy to control spray nozzle ensures paint goes where you point it.
Fast drying formula creates a smooth, hard surface that acts as a barrier to protect keels, shafts, props, outdrives, struts, rudders, trim tabs and more from barnacles and corrosion. In controlled testing, one coat of InterZinc provided greater protection and better performance than 2 coats of the competition.
16 ounce aerosol can is available in gray finish.

Bare Metal: Degrease by wiping with a rag soaked in Fiberglass Solvent Wash 202. Grit blast to near white metal surface. If grit blasting is not possible, grind the metal surface with 24 - 36 grit abrasive discs to a uniform, clean, bright metal surface 2-3 mils anchor pattern. Remove sanding residue with a brush, broom, clean air line or vacuum. Immediately apply the first coat of InterZinc
Previous painted Surfaces: Remove previously painted surface. Follow Bare Metal instructions above.
Method Shake can well, listening for the mixing ball. Continue to shake at least 1 minute. Hold the can 12-16 inchesfrom the unit when applying the paint. Between coats turn can upside down and spray until the spray is clear to clean the nozzle.
Some Important Points To prevent premature failure, ensure the correct amount of paint is applied using the coverage as a guide. Product and ambient temperature should be minimum 5°C (41deg; F) and maximum 35°C (95deg; F). Substrate temperature should be minimum 10°C (50°F) above dew point and maximum 35°C (95deg; F).
Compatibility/Substrates InterZinc Aerosol should be applied to bare metals free of debris or old coating.
Number of Coats 1-3 coats as needed: DFT 1-2 mil per coat.
Recommended DFT per coat 1-2 mils.
