Product Details

3 Position Off-Ignition/Accessory- Ignition Start. Brass case and mounting hardware chrome plated brass face nut. Key removes in off position only. 13/16" mounting stem 1-7/32 long". Mounts in panels up to 1 thick has screw terminals.

All brass ignition starter switch, heavy duty and with three terminals and three positions. Rating is 15 amps at 12 volts DC. Returns automatically from start to ignition position. Chrome plated brass face nut and back-up nut. Stainless steel springs. Mounting bushing is 15/16" long. 13/16"-20 thread. Dimensions are 2-7/8" long, 1-3/4" in diameter. Accomodates 1-1/16" panel.

Q: null bought the 3 position switch to replace a 3 position switch on 65 chris craft. old switch has four contacts on back but new one only has three, can I still use it?

Q: null does the purple/white stripe wire hook up to the battery connect on the switch?

A: No. Normally, for an inboard or I/O engine, the red wire goes to the battery pole (batt, bat+, etc.), the yellow wire (or yellow with a red tracer) goes to the starter solenoid pole (start), and the purple wire (or purple with white tracer) goes to the ignition pole (ign).
