Rigging tape is supposed to stick to itself on both sides. This doesn't. It's actually PVC tape.

We use this to bind the plastic spreader boots and it stays stuck all season long. It's easy to tear off the roll and adheres well to itself.

Have used MDR rigging tape since 2003. Wrapped spreader ends in 2004 - still holding in 2010. Strong, conformable, adhesive stays put even in tropics (lesser tapes become sticky mess). Reviewer giving poor rec obviously does not know this product. Highly recommended. I wish more places stocked it. (By profession I am a Ph.D. Physicist.)

This stuff does not stretch, stick, or stay attached nearly as well as the electrical tape it replaces.
