Aquagard 190 Primer - Waterbased Customer Questions and Answers

2 of 2 Questions

Would you recommend this product for alluminum pontoons?

Used this on a new tritoon with a dewax, sand, followed by 2 coats primer, followed by 2 coats bottom paint. Boat in water all summer and held up very well. Labor intensive but happy with the results. Hardest part was getting good information on the whole procedure as Aquagard does not publish much.

I used it on wood and it was just fine, not sure about metal. JS

If you want to stay with the Aquagard products it would be the 181 Primer, or Interlux 2000E or Totalboat Total Protect.
