This is the perfect split ring to replace the pull ring in a lifeline fitting! The 3/4" one can also be used if you prefer a smaller ring.

I use these cotter rings to secure castle nuts that are removed often. Saves on having to keep a supply of cotter pins around. Also use the larger cotter rings on applications were I don't want to risk a removable cotter pin falling out. Such as securing the pins that hold my aircraft's wings on!
