Answer Question

Question

Do you have the 1/4" un-threaded?

Asked on 05/12/2015 by Undisclosed

Top Answer

Not sure why you would want one unthreaded unless you are going to weld it to something in that case you can weld it anyway. If you want to tap threads that are not offered buy the smallest thread and re drill and tap. If that is too big maybe JD can buy one untapped? Drilling and taping the thread is definitely a secondary operation.

Answer

As this is basically a nut incorporating a ring or eye, I'm not sure I understand your question, i.e., how can you have an unthreaded nut. If it's a nut it's threaded; if it's not threaded, it isn't a nut. I bought some of these eye nuts from JD and they're extremely well made and finished. And as they're in 316 stainless steel, they're super resistant to corrosion. Perhaps if you could describe what you want the product to do, it might be easier to address your question.
