Atwood 4"" Bilge Blower

Totally restore 1968 31' Hatteras 1 year ago.. Replaced the Bilge Blowers with these 4""turbo 4000 Atwood Blowers . They do a great job in clearing the Bilge Air. Believe they remove approx 200 cubic feet of air per minute and take but a minute or two in order to purge the bilge. McGoo from West Palm Beach area

Q: null can it run constin & can it be varabul at all? ps. it/s going on a relay for room air moving in a camper trailer.

1 Answer

A: The Attwood Blower is set at a single RPM, and cannot be varied at all. Since its design, and I suppose the bearings in the fan assembly are designed for short, intermittant evacuation of a boat's engine compartment, I do not see it being appropriate to continuous operation. I would contact Attwood's customer service department for further guidance.
