Question

This product has been recommended for refinishing a Sitka Spruce bowsprit prior to repainting. The boat is a 40 year old 30 ton ketch ,,, a Hudson Force 50. Can it be thinned for this purpose? What is the recommended application technique - roller/brush/spray etc.? If it can be thinned, what product is used? What paints are recommended for final finish?

It can be thinned with Styrene(https://www.jamestowndistributors.com/userportal/show_product.do?pid=57891&familyName=Styrene+Resin+Thinner). Simply lay on an even coat by whatever method you are most comfortable with. In a marine environment, enamel paint or polyurethane paint such as TotalBoat Wet Edge are good a good option.
