Question

The regulator dial is bent inside plastic and needle will not give true reading as it hangs up on metal guage. Can this part be replaced or how do you fix it? Does top come off ?

Asked on 02/13/2015 by bailey hawkins

Top Answer

I don't see where the gauge alone is available. You can buy a replacement gauge at this < a href="http://site:http://www.gossequipment.com/store/GossRegulators.html" target="_blank">site:http://www.gossequipment.com/store/GossRegulators.html< /a>

Answer

The regulator can be replaced, but you will bend it again next time tank falls over. regulator will unscrew (guage). To replace. Use Teflon tape to reseat new guage. use a old milk create to hold your propane bottle, this will keep it from falling over.

I'd suggest you call their customer service #

Answered on 02/13/2015 by CHERYL A DAWSON

Answer

I have put mine away but if I take it out I will let you know. I have seen this happen in other tank gauges and usually the plastic cover fell off and it happened when the protection was removed. Just straighten it out with jewelers needle nose or order another from company These items are sold separately as this happens a lot

Answered on 03/28/2012 by RICHARD MASON

Answer

keep the gun far away. the gun is very hot

Answered on 03/30/2012 by ROBERT MCGARRY

Answer

I really don t think you should use the heat gun for this purpose. It is very powerful and you WILL DAMAGE the hull. Consider a torch ( any hardware store). It is less radical.
