Entropy Clear Laminating Epoxy Resin (CLR) is the base component of the Clear (CLR) low-viscosity, low-color, UV-stable system for composites, coatings & adhesive applications.
It's optimized for hand layup, room temperature processes, or infusion laminating of wood, fiberglass, carbon, or Kevlar. Its air release and UV protection create clearer cured laminates with excellent color stability.
CLR resin forms a hard plastic surface when cured with Entropy hardeners: CLS slow hardener offers long pot life, CLF fast hardener offers shorter pot life and faster curing, and CLX hardener has the fastest tack-free time. The CLR system has a bio-content greater than 30% & can be modified with epoxy-compatible colorants & fillers.
NOTE: For white cosmetic applications, use Entropy Optically Brightened Epoxy Resin (BRT) (uses the same hardeners as the CLR system).

Why Use Clear Super Sap®? Laminating Epoxy Resin
Super Sap formulations, as opposed to traditional epoxies that are composed primarily of petroleum-based materials, contain renewable, biobased materials sourced as co-products or from the waste streams of other industrial processes, such as bio-fuels and wood pulp production. The benefits of these natural components are exceptionally high adhesion properties and excellent elongation.
Three Easy Ways to Measure Clear Laminating Epoxy Resin and Hardener
- By Volume: 2 parts resin to 1 part hardener.
- By Weight: Varies. Check Technical Data Sheets for specific ratio.
- By Pumps: The calibrated Entropy Pump Set (sold separately) measures the exact 2:1 ratio by volume with no mess or guessing about correct measurements, so you get a proper cure every time. Pumps can be used with the 2:1 High Bio-Based Laminating Epoxy Resin (ONE), Clear Laminating Epoxy Resin (CLR), Optically Brightened Laminating Epoxy Resin (BRT), Compression Molding Epoxy Resin (CPM), and Clear Casting Epoxy Resin (CCR) systems.
Measuring & Mixing Notes: For best results, use a scale to measure the two components by weight (within 5% of the recommended mix ratio). Always mix product thoroughly for at least two minutes. To ensure complete mixing, scrape all surfaces of the container.
IMPORTANT: Clear Laminating Epoxy Resin (CLR) works better in low-humidity environments, especially when it's used outside of the recommended optimal temperature range. See specific temperature ranges in Application Tips.

Safety and Handling Information
Despite the natural derivation of Entropy resin products, exposure to these materials represents hazards typical of all epoxy resins. Exposure should be minimized and avoided through the use of proper personal protective clothing & equipment, and appropriate manufacturing controls. All persons who use, store, or transport these materials should understand proper handling precautions and recommendations, as stated in the SDS (safety data sheets).
WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals, including epichlorohydrin, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov
Reviews for Entropy Clear Laminating Epoxy Resin

Purchased this for an art project — needed it to cover irregularly-shaped papier mache sculptures. This was my first time using epoxy resin. I read a lot before purchasing a resin + hardener. My biggest complaint was in how to figure out how to pour just the right amount of mix so that I don't end up wasting too much. I did waste a lot, and it's definitely messy, but the results were just what I wanted from it.

I'm working with epoxy often with my job and had developed allergic reactions to several brands. So far I've had no problems with Entropy group products. Comparable to Raka and West products which I used for many years!

The epoxy worked great. I was building a bamboo bike and this brand was recommended.

Used Entropy Resin and Hardener to fiberglass a cedar strip canoe. Easy to mix and use, super clear, and doesn't smell bad. The best part is it hasn't had any problems curing even though my shop is on the cold side.

Super Sap CL/F is an excellent system, as far as I have tested it for strength and workability in composite laminates. The only testing left to do takes time - we all know how epoxies can become brittle and weaken, especially in marine applications. It's great for now, and for the final results, we wait....
