The Safe Working Load (SWL) figure shown for Schaefer fittings represent the load to which the item may be loaded without deformation or damage to the fitting or its components. This figure represents the total load that should not be exceeded by either static or dynamic forces.
Do not select fittings based on loading of the line/wire only, as the actual load experienced by the fitting may be several times this figure. Total loading is dependent on line load, angle of load turning through a block and the amount of purchase involved in the system.
