can it be used on wood boats?
Asked on 04/06/2016 by UndisclosedYes, works on wood. I use it on most all surfaces requiring an effective yet gentle cleaner. No staining and rinses well. If a very aggressive cleaning is required on something like teak, I use specialty teak cleaners immediately followed by Total Boat Soap to remove residues of the harsher cleaner. Also, works great on wood that has been painted, varnished, or shellacked without removing finish. If surface has been waxed Total Boat Soap will clean surface. If it is desired to remove wax, use a detergent soap or other wax stripper. Again, use of boat soap can be helpful as a followup to remove residual cleaner/stripper.

Answered on 04/06/2016 by JOHN STRENGDoes this soap de-wax? If not, which cleaner to use which also removes wax?
Asked on 04/24/2017 by Kupo2kupo from BostonIt won't really dewax, you will want to use a dewaxer like Totalboat Dewaxer and Paint Prep if you are going to be painting.
