Product Details

TotalBoat Wet Edge is a one-part, high-gloss polyurethane topside finish. This thick, rich topside paint is easy to apply and has excellent coverage characteristics. Advanced UV stabilizers ensure high gloss and color retention. Choose from 22 popular colors in quarts or gallons.

Wet Edge is easy to clean, resists staining, & has incredible abrasion resistance. Our unique urethane formula provides superior adhesion and flexibility, allowing the natural expansion and contraction of your boat's hull without causing the finish to lift or crack. Elasticity provides longer life and increased durability over leading marine one-part enamels.

Brush, roll & tip, or spray on fiberglass, wood, or previously painted surfaces above the waterline. For best results, prepare surfaces with TotalBoat Topside Primer.

Select colors are now available in pints, perfect for boot stripes.

Info & Guides
IMPORTANT APPLICATION INFORMATION!

TotalBoat Wet Edge should only be rolled with a solvent safe 1/8" foam roller, designed for leaving glossy surfaces without any stipple or lint. This includes products such as ArroWorthy Mighty Mini rollers, or foam rollers that fit on regular paint roller frames.

Nap rollers: We do not recommend using nap rollers to apply Wet Edge, as they will leave small hairs as well as a stippled effect in the paint that will stand out once it cures, and will generally lay down too much paint for a proper cure.

TotalBoat Wet Edge Topside Paint is not designed for continuous submersion on boat bottoms that remain in the water longer than 72 hours.

Great Finish
By JP from FL

This topside paint is very forgiving, It evens out and produces a smooth high gloss finish. It worked best for me when I thinned it and applied a very thin first coat over topside primer, followed by heavier 2nd and third coats. All application was by foam roller and tipped with a fairly stiff good quality trim brush.

Great paint - matched an AwlGrip color too!
By PasoSailor from Paso Robles, CA

I had a storm repair to MINKE - a hawsepipe had failed and bulwarks were damaged. The boat has a very nice AwlGrip paint job and I needed to patch a small area. I found that the "oyster white" color matched almost exactly to the AwlGrip color on the boat. Also the paint goes on well and flattens nicely. Great product.

Excellent color match - full disclosure: I sanded this back and cleaned up the "sags" - don't what you to think I didn't see that. Lesson here - it was cold when I painted this (maybe 45 deg), and found it needed to be thinner to avoid the sag. Great stuff.....awesome color match!
Faired with Total Boat Fairing Compound - great stuff!

I would recommend this product!
By Kliby from Rehoboth MA

I used Wet Edge topside grey paint to paint the inside of an Adirondack Guide boat that I restored for my son. The guide boat was 15 years old, had a Kevlar lightweight hull. The paint went on smoothly with a roller and covered with one coat.

Blown away by quality of these products. My first time attempting a DIY project on my bay boat. Easy to use, worked much better than even I imagined with just a foam roller. Prep was super simple. I also used Total boat primer.
