If you remove the T handle and add this gauge, how do you open the fuel filter to change the filters?
Asked on 01/31/2016 by Irvin KaufmanThe gauge screws into a threaded base that you can turn with an open end wrench (it is hex-shaped). That piece does the job of the old T-handle to hold the top on. Works great, just takes more vertical clearance than the T-handle alone.

Answered on 02/01/2016 by Frank WiegandNormally you would only back the t-handle out and remove the cover. Now, you will have to use a wrench (spanner) to back the fitting out. Be careful you buy the correct gauge. The gauges for the 500 series filter are different than the 900-1000 series filters.

Asked on 08/18/2017 by Bob from Saline, MIYes it does. This is an excellent way to monitor your fuel filter condition.
