Perko's chrome plated zinc fuel tank vent is suitable for use on boats with a maximum hull thickness of 1 inch. Chrome plated zinc vent cap with black plastic splash guard and removable 30 mesh stainless steel wire screen flame arrester threads onto a solid zinc elbow coupler, capable of rotating to fit any position. Elbow barb fits 5/8 inch ID hose. Available in straight and 90-degree elbow versions.

Very poor quality and design.. The plastic fitting does not fit over the metal properly so it will not seal itself. The screen is inside and will allow insects to enter into the elbow and is not accessible to clean unless you remove the entire fitting.

This Perko Zinc gas vent is somewhat easy to install depending on the surrounding clearances. I have replaced all three of mine three times and the present ones are already slightly corroded after about 5 months. My is docked behind my home on the intercoastal waterway. I would recommend if you can find another gas vent that can be retrofitted into the same hull through hole and vent hose and is made of stainless steel buy it instead of this one.
