I have owned two Chris Craft Commanders (a 1968 35' and currently a 1967 42') for a total of nearly 30 years. This has been my paint of choice to maintain the originality. There are other "copper color" paints out there, but non match the brilliance of this when first applied. Performance is fantastic... I lightly sand off the scum line in spring, and then re-apply one coat to the bow, sides, and transom each year.... every 4 years, I lightly sand the entire bottom and re-apply one coat. It's an easy process, and looks fantastic.

I applied two coats to my 26 ft Lyman lapstrake wood hull in 2012. It sands and applies easily. Feels thin and light for a bottom paint. It lasted three seasons with light touchups in the spring. Most durable bronze colored bottom paint I have tried. Use on Lake Huron in northern Michigan. Water is relatively cold, but gets fairly warm where moored. Classic color for a wood boat. Great product at a reasonable price.

I refinish the bottom with two coats every year. Have wood boat on Lake of the Ozarks. Use system three for priming bear spots. Plain the boat in the fall before lay up and power wash the sides. Make prep very easy in the Spring. Bottom looks good at end of the season. this is the best bottom I have used for this purpose.

I used this product on a racing boat on a fresh water lake in Tennessee. The product is the best for racing and longivity I have ever used. It will accumulate some scum and a little aalge over the summer and needs to be rubbed off about three times a summer but is slicker and faster than anything I have used. (have owned the bost 30 years and have used it all) This has been on the boat 5 years this time and could be refreshed.
