Sea Hawk's Smart Solution is engineered to be one of the most effective environmentally friendly anti-fouling bottom paints available. It utilizes completely metal-free biocides resulting in no bio-accumulation in the environment while still providing equivalent performance to traditional anti-foulants. Smart Solution reacts to contact with salt water and creates a slick film that covers the hull which leads to increased cruising speeds as well as excellent resistance to marine growth.

Reviews for Sea Hawk Smart Solution AF Bottom Paint
Paid for Sea Hawk bottom paint and what a mistake. Two weeks after launching in Maine ( if any place is easy on bottom paint it is Maine) the bottom was a garden of marine growth. Now the boat needs to be hauled and powerwashed and repainted. Not a happy customer. The mooring is in a cove with virtually no fresh water inlet. It is entirely salt water.

1 pint or quart (can't remember) was enough for both alpha 1 gen 2 drives with some left over. Both drives were spotless when the boat came out and it sat in the water more than I would like to admit...even did both trim tabs with the same can.

This was the worst product I have ever used and would recommend anyone else to stay away from this. I was very disappointed and misled by Jamestown. With a very rude costumer service.

I thought this was water based. It is not.

Applied over previous copper base ablative, which had some significant flaking and cracking. The roughest areas were sanded pretty well, but the rest had at best a quick sanding. SO FAR - looks sound, no issues on binding to the previous paint. Very clean - no growth. Boat has been in water since mid-May.
