TotalBoat Seal is a fast-curing elastomeric marine sealant that adheres tenaciously to fiberglass, wood, metal, glass, Starboard & vinyl. It creates a highly elastic waterproof seal ideal for bedding hardware, windshields, and portholes, as well as flush & overlapping joints. Once cured, Seal is paintable and sandable.
Seal is highly UV stable and will not sag on vertical surfaces. It boasts superior properties over most leading sealants including strength, adhesion, elongation, and shelf life. For use above and below the waterline. Do not use on wood deck seams.
Available in White only. Choose from a 3 oz. tube, 10 oz. cartridge, or 6-pack of 10 oz. cartridges. Cartridges fit standard 290ml caulk guns.
Important: TotalBoat Seal is designed for bedding and sealing, and does not have the strength properties of bonding adhesives.

Might be better if a pro used this. It flashes off so quickly.

I used this TotalBoat Seal to afix my cover board on my center board trunk. I had used some sort of silicon previously and had some water splashing through in rough seas.I didn't want to use 5200 as I feared it would be too permanent. In truth, I haven't tried to remove the cover board and hope to not need to anytime soon but it applied nice and neat and somehow I didn't get it all over myself which is pretty much SOP with 5200, Ha!

VERY short working time. Not good for large pieces, like windows. Ask me how I know...

I used this to re-bed the glass on an aluminum frame diamond sea glaze window. It bonded exceptionally to the frame and the glass.

The product seems to do a good job sealing but it takes a LONG time to cure.

Finally a product that bonds/seals Starboard material. Easily applied like any other sealant BUT plan accordingly and work quick as product sets up fast (can make cleanup more difficult for that "finished" look. Smooth your beads as you go for best results.

I bought to reseal window that were leaking. I had a total of about 3 linear feet. By the time I got all the way around the window, it was already skinning over. That's good and bad. It's good that is will setup quick, but make sure you are prepared. Once you start you can't stop in the middle (like you might with silicon). The product seems to adhere well and I only gave 4 stars because it's only been a month - no leaks so far - hopefully good for another 10 years. Tape off around area and use soapy water on finger to smooth out. It will be pliable and workable for a very short window. Just have everything ready. Definitely not for someone who doesn't have caulking experience.
