Answer

I have used white chip fix on a vertical surface. Make sure you use it exactly as instructed on the package within the temperature range and kneading the package. Otherwise it has worked well for me for filling up to 3/16 in size drill hole on a vertical surface. Chip fix has a great company website with FAQs, videos etc that may be helpful.

Answered on 07/22/2015 by DAVID LANNIK

Answer

It is a thicker liquid. I used it on vertical in limited fashion. Small amounts and repeated application to fill worked best.

Answer

I would call it a gel. I used the product on my transom and it stayed in place pretty well. Had to smooth it upwards a couple of times until it was firm enough, but not really a big deal. I love the product, I keep a couple of colors on hand and just dab it on whenever I notice a chip.

Answer Question

Question

Hi, I have a jacuzzi tub (beige color). It is a fiberglass bathtub. It has a crack at the bottom. Something fell and cracked it. Can I use the chip fix or the hair fix? Thanks

Asked on 02/11/2015 by Adalicia Roth

Top Answer

Depends if the crack is hairline or bigger. Chip fix is a little thicker if there are any gouges in the surface. Otherwise, hairline fix should do it.

Answer

You could use this as long as it's just a surface crack and not all the way through.

Answer

I have not used the product yet so I cannot truly provide an answer. Probably better go to the manufacturer and ask them. Also probably depends on the specific sizes - take some pictures and share with the manufacturer.

Answer

The one thing the YouTube video does not mention is that the contents of the tube must be kneaded to mix the color and the paste. The instructions that come with it also do not tell you this. If you open it and it comes out runny like paint, screw the lid back on and knead the tube to mix it all together.
