Furniture & Woodworking Adhesive

This is a special adhesive that is formulated specially for furniture, woodworking, carpentry, crafts and repair projects. It is a no-drip formula that stays where you put it and is sandable, paintable and fast drying. Ideal for tables, shelving, clocks, ready-to-assemble furniture, chairs, benches, crafts, furniture, cabinets, hobbies, wood veneers, paper, cloth and birdhouses. Not recommended for sheet good, wood flooring, ceiling applications or underwater use.

Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive

Formulated to suit more demanding projects, this versatile and heavy-duty adhesive bridges gaps, provides 10 minutes working time and produces a long-term, durable, flexible and impact-resistant bond. Antioxidants are added in for all-weather performance. Recommended for many exterior and interior heavy-duty applications including countertops, cabinets, brick veneer, plywood and waferboard, foil insulation board, tileboard, treated lumber, drywall and most common building material like concrete and lumber etc. Should not be used on flooring applications, ceramics, mirrors, granite, marble, plastic, vinyl or ceiling tile.

Project Construction Adhesive

This is a proven, high-quality, waterproof construction adhesive that remains flexible, bridges gaps up to 3/8" and offers up to 10 minutes of working time. This adhesive is also available in a low-VOC formula.

Mirror Adhesive

This specialty adhesive will not desilver mirrors, ten minutes working time allows for precision placement on most surfaces, and the flexible bond will not become brittle with age. This adhesive must be used with a permanent mechanical support system, such as a shelf angle or "J" channel. This product is ideal for applications including bonding mirrors to concrete, drywall, plaster (primed or sealed), painted surfaces, wood and metal. However, it is not recommended for exterior use or uses other than mirror installations and applying to wallpapered surfaces, foamboard or treated wood.

Small Project Repair Adhesive

This construction-grade adhesive is a fast-bonding, permanent and suited for most common materials including: wall tile, soap dishes, towel racks, house numbers, wood, corkboard, vinyl cove base, drywall patches, aluminum, concrete, stone, carpeting, brick veneer, ceramics, shelving, countertops, metal and moldings.     The application should be braced overnight and will reach its maximum strength within 7 days. However, actualy dry time may vary with temperature, humidity and substrates.

How long will any odor last?

    When using LIQUID NAILS Adhesive products, cross ventilation is necessary. While some odor may remain for a while, it will usually last less than 24 hours.

Is the product flammable or toxic after it has dried?

    No, once the product has cured then the flammable/toxic solvents have dissipated.

What is the working time for LIQUID NAILS Adhesive products?

However, it is recommended that the product be used within one year from purchases, leaving opened cartridges exposed will cause the product to harden inside the cartridge. After one year from the manufacture date, an unopened product may harden in the cartridge or its solvents could seperate.

    Yes, while LIQUID NAILS Adhesive products can freeze, once they return to room temperature that are usable.

What is the recommended application temperature?

    It is recommended that LIQUID NAILS products are applied between the temperatures of 40°F and 90°F.

Do LIQUID NAILS Adhesive products resist water?

    LIQUID NAILS Adhesive products can resist water penetration, however none of the products should be used below the waterline or immersed in water for long periods of time.

What condition must substrates be in for bonding?

    In order for proper bonding, the substrates must be structurally sound, clean and dry (not powdery, chalky or flaky) and without excessive movement.

How can LIQUID NAILS Adhesive products be removed?

    LIQUID NAILS adhesives and caulks can be scraped off when they are softened either by:
    1. Heating above 140°F with an electric heat gun or blow dryer.
    2. Coating the adhesive with petroleum jelly or mineral spirits for several hours to several days. (However, mineral spirits are not recommended to be used for tub surrounds, vinyl, plastic, painted or varnished.)
