WEB MARKETING ASSISTANT
Position Outline:

You will work closely with the Marketing Director on a range of projects and tasks, with an emphasis on paid search (PPC), managing our presence on 3rd-party marketplaces like Amazon, on-site merchandising, pricing, and reporting.

Primary Responsibilities:

Paid Search
  • Assist in management of Google Adwords, Amazon Sponsored Products, and Bing Adcenter PPC campaign.
  • Monitor advertising performance with various analytics tools, and make appropriate changes in order to consistently meet performance targets
  • Maintain updated product information for feed files used in paid search, retargeting, and 3rd party marketplaces

Marketplace Offer Management
  • Coordinate inventory replenishment on items fulfilled by Amazon
  • Manage product sell price algorithm, updating files as necessary
  • Manage product launches and removals, including Sponsored Products campaigns, Enhanced Brand Content and Brand Store updates
  • Track seller feedback and product reviews
  • Manage Amazon Sponsored Products & Headline Search advertising to meet performance targets

On-Site Merchandising
  • Use website merchandising platform to maximize product engagement and conversion
  • Create rules and custom landing pages for browse and site search
  • Generate site user behavior reports on a regular basis and identify actions to be taken on low conversion searches or pages
  • Analyze product offering by brand and category & coordinate with purchasing department to identify potential new production additions
  • Assist in the analysis & management of retail sell prices across thousands of items, to meet sales and margin targets

Other Analysis & Reporting
  • Use website analytics and other tools for weekly and monthly performance reports
Desired Qualifications:
  • BA/BS strongly preferred
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and prioritize accordingly
  • Prior SEO & SEM experience preferred
  • Prior Amazon Marketplace / Seller Central / Vendor Central experience a plus
  • Basic HTML skills preferred
  • Understanding of and experience with web analytics tools preferred
  • SQL and other database experience a plus

DIGITAL DESIGNER (Part-Time)
Position Outline:

The digital designer creates and updates the visual elements of Jamestown Distributors' digital presence. This includes, but is not limited to the following areas of work:

Primary Responsibilities:

Email Marketing
  • Manage the design, layout and production of all email marketing messages, with emphasis on relevant, brand-appropriate creative elements and imagery.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to execute email marketing schedule, creating and deploying campaigns on a regular basis.

Website
  • Create and manage visual elements throughout our website, including brand, promotional, and product images.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to maintain organized cataloging and storage of all image files

Photography
  • Use website merchandising platform to maximize product engagement and conversion
Desired Qualifications:
  • Basic HTML and CSS knowledge
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with various email marketing platforms preferred
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Print design experience a plus as a consideration for other potential projects

OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Position Outline:

The Jamestown Distributor Outside Sales Representative is responsible for developing profitable B2B relationships in their assigned market. They will focus on new business development as well as strengthening existing relationships. The Sales Representative position is highly autonomous and requires an individual who is a self-starter, motivated and driven to achieve superior financial results. The Sales Representative will also collaborate internally with fellow team members in developing strategies to continue to grow market share.

RETAIL STORE ASSOCIATE

Position Outline:

The JD Retail Store Associate represents the company with enthusiasm and professionalism in all areas of customer service. The primary focus of the position is to assisting customers with their product needs and provide solutions with Jamestown Distributor product and TotalBoat branded products.  The JD Retail Store Associate provides an exemplary customer experience by asking the customer questions to determine their needs and engaging the customer with their product knowledge, and suggests the best appropriate items for the customer’s needs.  The JD Retail Store Associate also checks and resets the store inventory, and maintains the quality and presentation of the store.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding customer service. Assist customer’s needs by utilizing knowledge of our products’ features, values and benefits.
  • Develop product knowledge to provide a high level of service to the customer.
  • Learn the TotalBoat product line and upsell/cross sell TotalBoat.
  • Actively participate in all sales and promotional programs that drive sales.
  • Follow all procedures and policies to ensure continuity.
  • Daily reset of the store products, ensure product counts are accurate and price changes are made.
  • Ensure the store is neat, clean, and organized throughout each business day.
  • Document any customer ideas/issues/complaints into the doc provided. 
  • Be able to perform opening and closing duties as required.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to engage and connect with customers.
  • Retail sales experience is required.
  • Data entry and computer experience required. Experience with an ERP computer system a plus.
  • Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work Saturdays and holidays when open.

Use knowledge of JD systems and materials to research information, process orders, provide problem-solving support, and tech support, within a timely manner, to maintain customer satisfaction, and account retention

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Respond to customer inquiries via inbound phone, fax and email support. Assure customer satisfaction in all requests, including: order status, product specifications and availability, payment terms, sales programs, JD policies, etc.
  • Processes customer orders in a timely and accurate way, verifying and communicating customer information, order and shipping details, recommending additional items needed for the customer's project including substitutions, and TotalBoat sales offers. The rep will answer technical calls, process internet orders, and other transaction processes as necessary
  • Follow up on all verbal and written communications with customer daily to ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain scheduled daily outbound calling contact with specific territory of commercial accounts to drive sales, anticipate needs and provide pro-active customer service support.
  • Manage customer service systems daily to insure that orders are being expedited.
  • Report any irregularities or potential problems to the Call Center Manager.
  • Contribute to the efficiency of the sales department and Jamestown Distributors by performing other related duties, as assigned.
