drop in replacement
Drop in replacement for my boat, took about 25 min to wire and adjust swing and parking location. last motor lasted about 10 years from install date, with fairly heavy use.
Worked out great
Worked out great, watch the left or right park positions and be careful with the auto park switch that will move to park if you leave the power on.
I bought this in October 2011 to replace an original AFI unit that came with the boat (1993). Installation was pretty easy but the unit failed in fall 2013 due to water incursion.
10 years and going strong
This wiper motor came installed on my boat in 2001. It has been trouble free for over 10 years.
Looks Good, Works Bad
I have a three year old, 24' Skagit Orca, fishing boat that came with three of these motors. So far two of the three have gone belly up and the third is close to dieing. They have all been very noisey from the start.
Plastic Gear will get damaged if wiper blade gets stuck with something. Auto park feature will damage gear. Manufacturer dose not sale replacement gears.
