Circa 1850 Maple Scrapers

Circa 1850 solid Maple wood scrapers remove paint and varnish from wood and other delicate surfaces without gouging wood or flexing. These scrapers are made from a solid block of Canadian Maple wood with a 45 degree angle edge.

Maple provides a smooth, hard surface that will not gouge wood and other delicate surfaces as with metal scrapers, or flex like plastic scrapers. The solid hardwood handle provides a comfortable grip.

Directions:

Use the Circa 1850 Maple Scrapers with Circa 1850 Furniture Stripper or Circa 1850 Heavy Body Paint & Varnish Remover to remove finishes from flat surfaces. Always work in a well ventilated area and wear protective eye wear, gloves and long sleeves to prevent accidental contact. Apply a layer of the remover to a small section of the piece to be refinished. Wait a few minutes for the remover to soften the finish. Use the angled portion of the Circa 1850 Maple Scraper to remove the softened finish. Wipe off any residue with a rag or steel wool.
