Hi. I want to wear these gloves with a thin cross country ski glove beneath them, then put these on over them. After that, I will slip on my dry suit and go sailing. What size should I get? My hand measures 9 inches wide from end of thumb to end of pinky when fully extended. From line on wrist to end of middle finger measures 7.5 inches. I need to hold mainsheet and tiller so the gloves shouldn't be way too big. I usually wear a size L in gloves. I am a medium sized, 5' 11.75" tall, 176 pound male. Thanks, Joe
Here's a video on how to measure for glove size:< a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbECaH26IXg" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbECaH26IXg< /a>
I got some of these, extra large, and for once extra large is large enough. I imagine you should get XL too, to wear over other gloves. Far better too loose than too tight. Whether they will stand up to hauling on the mainsheet is another question. There are some nice winter sailing gloves to be had for $25.
These only come in a large size. To measure your hand measure around your hand all the way around at the knuckles. A large would be 9 1/2 to 10 inches.
would be better with out the rough grip
woud be a better product with a smooth finish hard to use when working with fiberglass as the grit catches the fibers... i was trying to find a reusable nitrile glove that would not rip so easily ... need to keep looking... it is nice for clean up procedures though
Good pair of gloves. I've been using them when cleaning anything using harsh chemicals or very hot water & they've handled the abuse pretty well. I've been using the same pair for about 5 months now & don't see any reason why I need to buy another pair.
