Is it possible to buy just the riser arm?
Sorry, JD does not carry it.
I HAVE A BOMAR HATCH #88027067 I NEED TO REPLACE, DO YOU HAVE A REPLACEMENT?
Sorry, there is no cross-reference available. You will need to measure the cutout or the outside dimensions of your hatch and compare to the dimensions of the hatches listed on the website.
Dear JD, Do you have a stock for G9661111 for 2ea?thanks.
Most of these sizes we can have with very short turnaround if we don't have them onsite.

Does anyone have a recommended bedding adhesive for series 910 plastic hatch
JD Tech Team
Sikaflex 291 is a good bedding sealant.

How do I identify what model Bomar hatchs are on my 89 cape dory 30 ft sailboat
We don't have a reference on what hatches are used on specific boats. The best way is to measure the opening and choose one that will fit.
What is the adhesive that attaches the cylinders to the hatch lid?
Not sure what Bomar uses, Plexus MA310 would work.
I used 5200. Not sure it was the best, but it was what I had. Previous hatch with 5200 lasted 12 years, which included 9 hurricanes, 4 direct hits.
I need a replacement Bomar hatch to fit an opening that is approximately 18 3/8 x 18 1/2 inch. The only number l have on the old hatch Bomar is:2080 followed by 3 02 89,stamped on the frame. The old hatch has one arm. Please advise on replacement?.Thank.
I had wanted to replace the mid cabin hatch on my Bristol 35.5, which was cast aluminums broken). I ordered the new Bomar hatch, which is much lighter being basically all plastic. My boat yard recomme3nded that I not install it as it is more likely to wear out within a relatively short period of time. Also, I worried that it could not stand up to heavy foot work when changing sails, etc. I returned it and got full credit from Jamestown (thank you). I think Bomar can provide a hatch like the original, but something tells me it was something of the order of $1000. Being somewhat handy, I simply unbolted the broken arm and replaced it with a simple swing-up propping arm out of permally (?) attached to the original bolt. It works fine, no trouble.
Doesn't look like the Bomar 900 or 2000 series hatches meet your specs of 18 3/8 X 18 1/2 OD. This is what a service tech at Bomar told me. Contact Select Plastics in E. Norwalk CT. They specialize in repair and fabrication of marine products, including hatches. They have a web site, so check them out.Good Luck,Jeff
What is range of motion ... Ie will it open at least 90 degrees to accommodate a carry-on AC unit?
Range of motion is about 150 degrees. Well beyond 90.
Mine opens to 90 degrees (but no more) and will lock in place. I have not tried to install a hatch AC, so I can't comment on that. I used the hatch to replace the exact same type of hatch (which made installation easy). I hope I can add a hatch AC unit later. My only advice regarding the AC unit is I would check the AC manufacturer's specs and compare to the hatch opening. One thing to consider might be the locking mechanism for the latch lid (shown on the left side of the picture). Although not very large, it will reduce the finished opening size on that one corner and could make sealing the AC unit around the hatch a little tricky.
It does open to 90 degrees but no more so it depends on your ac unit.
Yes, it open approx 150 degrees. The opening does have the hold open strut on one side so the availablel width is about 1 1/4 inch less than the opening listed.
Range of opening is about 95-100 degrees. However there is the arm which holds the hatch up which may imterfer with the AC unit unless it is removed
Yes, buy them all the time.
We are a trailer manufacturer and use them on our trailers. Just wish they offered the product without the screen and trim ring. We don't use them and they go in the trash every order.
Worked great and was shipped fast.
Looks great on my 1989 Sanibel 18. The screw holes did not match (as expected) with the old one but that was a easy fix.
Fit right in the slot of the broken original
Did the job
Pretty much what I expected. It is a bit lighter than the Bomar hatch that I replaced, but that came off my 1989 boat. Metal compared to plastic frame. Satisfied anyways.
perfect for all occasions!!!
live in s.e. florida, cross over to the bahamas frequently, and long offshore trips! never had a problem in rough seas with 900 hatch, hitting 4-6 and6-8 foot seas, this being a 26 foot cobia w/a cuddy!!! twin yams 200's a great product!!!

Good quality hatch
I purchased this hatch because it exactly fitted the cut out in my Cobia cuddy cruiser. Replacement was straightforward and this hatch was substantially better made than the broken one that I was replacing. I liked the smooth low profile lines and easy access to screw holes all the way around. It is not meant to be stepped on but my hatch is 16.5 x 16.5 and would probably be OK if stepped on occassionally. Not cheap but good value for money

Bomar 910 - 6966---1111
I bought this model because it fit the cut out in our coachroof best. I did not realize how light weight it is. I think if you stepped on it you would go right through. Fortunately it is mounted on the cabin top, not on the bow, where it will be subject to less stepping and any wave action. I would not recommend this product for any serious off-shore use.
