Teleflex MT-3 Controls with neutral safety switch are a direct replacement for MT-2 controls. All MT-3 controls now feature longer shift travel for certain MerCruisers, and applications where longer cable runs with many bends are required. Designed for use with 33C and 43C Supreme cables. Model MT-3 is 1/4" longer than MT-2. Available in single or twin control styles.

If I switch from a MT-2 to a MT-3, do I have to change cables?
The cable connections should be the same.

What cables and adapters are needed to use this control on a 1996 Johnson 28 SPL. The length of the cables will need to be 8-9 feet.
I don't have any information on what connectors for that engine, best to call Teleflex 877-663-8396

can the single throttle work a Yamaha outboard 150 2stroke?
i like the look of it can it run a single 2strokje outboard
you should ask the tech people at Jamestown. my only other thought is if you have another Teleflex control, it might very well work.
will this throttle/shift control work in a two helm configuration?
No only for single station applications.
I have a 1972 Tollycraft with twin Crysler 318 engines and single Morse gear/throttle controls that I would like to convert to dual Morse MT-3 controls. What do I need besides the controls to do this? Is this a big job? Are there any manuals/videos to show how to do this?
That's great. Do I need a conversion kit besides the controls? I have upper deck and lower deck controls - would I convert both in the same way? Do I have to do both at the same time?
I think you can do each station (one at a time) I have a single engine and had two single function controls(1gear/1 throttle) the single dual function is great and like I said its as easy as following the directions provided( unhooking four cables and reconnecting in the correct spot)
If you currently have twin single function controls it's as easy as connecting the cables to the new dual function control head.
Is single for both shift and throttle?
The single lever is for both transmission control and throttle control for a single engine.
yes it is for shift and throttle for single engine boat with a detent for throttle only for warm up to raise idle speed during warm up of engine I hope this helps
Yes it is
Just what we have been looking for.
We have been looking for a red knob for awhile. These controls are actually in a wireline unit that we use in the oil and gas fields in Wyoming. I googled red knob and your website came up. Great website. Thanks.
