The Windline over platform drop ladder is made of thick-wall stainless steel tubing and is electropolished to prevent corrosion. Available in 2 or 3 step, the ladder folds flat over onto the platform to save space by providing compact storage.
Dimensions: 2 step ladder measures 23-1/3 inches when open and the 3 step measures 34 inches open. The width of both ladders are 12 inches.

I'm looking to purchase a ladder to replace the one on my 27' Tiara. The existing ladder holes are 11" apart (on center) and each side of the existing bracket has 2 holes which are 2" apart on center also. Can you tell me if the 3 step ladder ( which is spec'd at 12" wide) has the same hole pattern as my old one? I prefer to not have to drill new holes, thank you.
I don't see the hole centers specified on the Windline ladder. Here is there number: 310-516-9812

I have two of your ladders. The fold down telescopic one. The black plugs at the end have fallen out of both. Can these be purchased.
Sorry not available.

Regarding the three step ladder. Does it lay flat onto an existing swim platform and then extend and fold down to use? I have a 23' Uniflite cruiser. The existing swim platform is too high to use when boarding the boat when on the trailer. I need a ladde that can mount on the existing platform. Thanks,Steve Walker
Yes. My whole family loves it!
Yes, when retracted and not in use it lies flat on my swim platform
Same problem. Yes it worked like a champ. Fit between other rings and laid flat. Just had to retrofit underneath with a piece of plastic board for support.
Yes Steve, my ladder lays flat on the swim platform, flip it into the water and it extends itself. We have it mounted on a 30' Trojan, 1974. Grand kids use use it continually. ENJOY
Yes...that's exactly right. It's very robust, too. Just be sure to use adequate backing plated (stainless fender washers).
Does it have a weight limit? How long when retracted?Made where?
Will one of these "over-platform" telescoping ladders work if it is bolted to a sailboat transom? E.g. can it be rotated through 180 degrees?
Yes, it will work. However, you will have to find a way to latch it when it is stored in the upside down position.
It's normal rotation is 270 degrees so 180 is no problem . My only concern is in the stored position gravity is the only thing holding it in place. If the transom is near vertical it will flop down.
Yes, it would rotate 180 degrees BUT it is made for mounting on a horizontal surface. I have a swim platform on the back of my boat so it works well. If you only have a vertical surface to mount it on, it would lay flat against the transom and you would have no place for your toes to go when you try to climb it. It is a very well made and attractive product. Hope this helps you out. You could use it if you added some horizontal brackets to the top of the transom, then bolt to them.
It lays flat and when you lift it up it it swings out and down 270 degrees from the mounting platform.
Yes, works on my Colgate 26 sailboat.
On the two step unit what is the legnth from the hinge to the foot when collapsed?
14 1/2 inches
14 1/2 inches
I have a 2001 SeaRay 180 bow Rider. In the 2001 180 BR Parts Manual the ladder is listed as 1256155 ladder swim ss 3 step telescop. Also they list 1342138 cap, ladder end top for # 1085166/236+266 and 1342146 cap, ladder end BTM for 1085166/1256155. I need the complete hardware from the rear deck of the boat. Will this ladder fits my boat before I purchase?
don't know, mine is on a 25' grady 1988 and works fine
Ok thanks. I will give it a try
Thank you,The swim platform is 13 1/2 inches wide so I might have a problem. I did measure the distance to the water and that should be no problem. The old ladder was 11 1/2 inches wide and the new one is 12 inches. I will have to drill new holes and fill in the old holes. Thanks againDoug
My swim platform is flat so the brackets lay flat. The holes from the old 2 step ladder didn't line up so we had to drill 3 new holes (we used 1 of the old holes)then filled the others with sealant. I like the ladder but I wish it was about 3 or 4 inches wider.
Does the ladder mount on a swim platform? If so, provided that your swim platform is at least 15 inches deep, this ladder will fit. However, it probably won't be an exact match for the ladder that originally came with the boat. If that is the case, you will have to drill new holes in the platform mount the ladder. That shouldn't be too hard to do. If the ladder actually mounts to the rear deck of your boat, though, the same problem exists: new holes are likely to be required. Also, the ladder might not be long enough to go deep enough into the water to be useful.
Step treads and end plugs, plastic or rubber? Thanks.
Uhhh...I think the treads are plastic over stainless and at the bottom of the ladder I want to say its stainless with a drain hole. It's held up in salt water use perfectly fine.
When ladder is on platform how much room does it take up? how big of a platform do you need A picture of one mounted would be helpfull
The ladder collapses and uses the distance of one step. The platform I have is about 18 inches wide by 15 inches in depth. I have photos but can not include in this response. Give me an email where to send the photos.
Mounted this ladder on a 26 inch swim platform.I will guess and say a 16 inch platform would be minimum.
It takes up about 2'. Ideally you would have at least. 2.5' deck. Sorry, I don't have. A picture.
I use mine on a party boat, only issue is length, it could be longer into the water.Jim
This looks like it may work, but am wondering if it is good for a sailboat (catboat) and (how) it attaches? Thanks
I've had the 3 step version of the ladder a year now and it's working well. It attaches with 4 bolts, 1/4" work well. I have it bolted to a swim platform which is what it's designed for. It might work to bolt it directly to the hull but it needs to be set off from the hull somehow.
I mounted it on my teak swim platform. Four stainless bolts (with philips pan head), eight stainless washers and four nylock nuts. Easy to install. Extends and collapses with minimal effort. Stays folded when cruising but I bungee it just in case. Biggest worry was drilling holes straight! If you have room for the base on your CAT, you will love it.
I think so. I attached to my power boat on a smal dive platform and it folds on top the platform. You could mount on the transom of the sailboat but it will fold up and you would have to tie the folded ladder to the transom. It is a strong ladder and works good.
Chris...I just installed this on my powerboat. It attaches with bolts through the brackets, and can attach anywhere you want. I wuld be sure to use through bolts with proper backers, rather than some sort of lag screw, as screws will tend to pull out.Would it be good for a sailboat? I'd think it would be good for any boat, providing you have a flat surface to attach it to. It is really heavy duty. My son has a friend who is around 300 pounds and this ladder handles his weight no problem.
yes it will great. 4 screws. no problem with a 275lb person on it.
Friends want one too!
We replaced the two step ladder with the new four step ladder. So much easier to climb into the boat. Thanks!
STURDY & CONVENIENT
EASY TO MOUNT ON MY FLATS BOAT
Good product for the cost.
I would buy this product again
Item as advertised. Easy to install. Easy to use.
It was as described and when used it did very well. Only thing missing is a latch system to hold ladder in place while not in use.
Must-have for getting into boat
Replaced a 2-step ladder that had our old bones creaking and knees bending trying to get out of the water. This is much safer, easier, and makes getting into the boat a breeze after an hour of snorkeling or swimming. Highly recommended.
I will buy this product again
replaced ladder on the bow of a cobia 226 - it was a perfect fit - this is the second ladder we have replaced - not due to the quality of the ladder which is great but due operator error
Excellent next day delivery
Required if you fall into chilling spring or late fall water and need to get back in the boat with little effort
excellent product/stays put
owned 1st ladder 8 yrs. bent it thru error. excellent product for all ages. easy on & off vessel
