Our #WH3 pressure relief valve is rated at 75 psi and 210 degree F. It's also ¾" NPT male tread.
Have a raritan water heater model R6 I think needs new element calls for 115 volts all I find are 120 volts. Can I use 120?

How do I know whether I have a bolt or screw type heating element? The unit is an R-6. The serial number is BU4979685.
The screw type looks like the ones in household units, only the marine units are half the rating.
I do not have any experience with this type heater.
If you don't get an answer here, I found the technical support from the manufacturer to be very good. They helped me know what to buy when I wasn't sure. I believe I sent an inquiry via the web and they responded within 24 hours. We got the parts from Jamestown and were easily able to replace them and enjoy hot water once again.
Thanks. I see four bolt heads so I assume it is a bolt type.
I assume it bolts on (with four screws in a square mounting flange). The screw-in type has no visible fasteners, as the unit itself screws directly into the tank.
can a screw in heating element be replaced by a bolt on element ?
I do not think you could make the change. The hot water tank has threaded connections and the heater is inserted in the side. There would not be a place to have a gasketed connection.
Raritan heating element
Since the part didn't work for me, I should have taken it off and sent it back, however I just had it attached as I thru away the old water heater.

Easy to install.

Ahhhh... hot water again
Replaced a malfunctioning heater element. Be warned it requires a 1 1/2 inch socket wrench or "Element Changing" socket. A wrench will not cut it.It is recessed.
