Note: The chemical compound behind the highly effective anti-slime additive Irgarol was unavailable for several years. Paint manufacturers substituted additional zinc in its absence to ensure similar antifouling performance. Bottom paints containing Irgarol are once again available, and are recommended for extra protection in medium to severe fouling conditions.
Trinidad PRO is a hard protective paint which produces the most durable finish for long lasting performance. The high loading of cuprous oxide (60%) combined with a specially formulated algicide results in unprecedented resistance to barnacles, algae, slime and other marine and fresh-water fouling organisms. It can be applied over most hard antifouling coatings. Old soft antifouling paints must be removed before applying Trinidad PRO.
Trinidad PRO has excellent adhesion to fiberglass, wood and steel hulls and is perfect for both power and sail boats. Its compatibility with all properly prepared hard bottom paints permits safe overcoating without fear of lifting.

Can you mix colors of the trinidad pro to get a different color and if you take your hull to bare fiberglass, do you need to prime it?
Yes you can blend colors of the same paint. If you take your hull down to bare fiberglass you will need to fair it then prime it with epoxy barrier coat.
I have just had the bottom painted in late August and now may need to haul the boat can this paint be reactivated next year or do I need to repaint?
Yes, this paint can be reactivated(burnished) by scuffing the surface with a scotchbrite pad and water. Thank You.
I'll be buying it again.
Area of use: Boston Harbor, sailboat Typically a pretty heavy fouling area, especially late summer. I experienced no hard growth. Only some slime and soft growth that cleaned off very easily. The guy who professionally cleans boat bottoms around here recommended it to me.
