Pettit Ultima SR-60 is the only dual biocide ablative antifouling paint specifically designed for the professional applicator. 60% Cuprous oxide formula provides the best antifouling, multi-season protection available (using both copper and Irgarol) along with ablative technology to reduce the effects of buildup.
Ultima SR-60 delivers outstanding protection with darker colors year round. Pettit offers SR-60 in four colors: blue, green, red, and black.

Note: The chemical compound behind the highly effective anti-slime additive Irgarol was unavailable for several years. Paint manufacturers substituted additional zinc in its absence to ensure similar antifouling performance. Bottom paints containing Irgarol are once again available, and are recommended for extra protection in medium to severe fouling conditions.
Ultima SR-60 is an ablative antifouling paint resistant to slime, algae, barnacles and other marine fouling. It features the same great formula as Ultima Pro, and is best used with Pettit's T-100 Thinner.
The high loading of cuprous oxide, combined with an organic algicide offers unprecedented control over all types of fouling in even the most severe fouling areas. SR-60's unique controlled erosion minimizes coating buildup and keeps underwater surfaces smooth and clean.
Apply via brush, roller, airless or conventional spray. When applying by roller use a short nap (3/16 inch maximum) roller cover.

rick
I have used for several years and have never thinnedGo to Pettit web site for application guidelines. Note maximum nap of roller.
keithabehnke
I just had to keep stirring it and eventually everything got dissolved and was able to use. Works great. I used it to touch up spots.
timandsharon1
It will roll right on.
david.perretta
I roll it on without thinning & have for a number of years
ringc
This paint should not need thinner for general brushing and rolling in most conditions, though you may want to have some of the thinner on hand for cleanup.

What thinner do I use with Pettit Ultima SR60? CanU paint over Marpro Super B?

Pettit 185 ablate thinner

Pettit 185 Ablative Thinner is the appropriate product to thin this paint. You can apply it over Super B but you must sand heavily first.

Answer to Stuart's question

Stuart:I have been using Ultima SR-60 for at least 9 years. I live in Florida on the Intracostal and I have the paint applied by the same professional I have been using for 19 years. The paint lasts 1 1/2 years, (18 months). So that is my background.I would definitely sand ALL of the Micron 66 off of your boat, all the way down to your flash coat. I would then apply a new single coat of flash paint compatible with Ultima SR-60. I suggest you contact Petit to determine the proper paint to use. Then I suggest you apply two coats of Petit Ultima SR-60.

Simply the best anti fouling

Best antifouling I have used. Stirring is a challenge; I take it to a home improvement store on my way to the yard and have them stir it in a shaking machine. In reality, it's not expensive when I factor in the fact that I get 2 years plus out of it.
