Additional Use - Squirrel Repellent
We have a 25 year old wood dock ladder at our summer cottage. The ladder is in the water for 5 or six months per year. The carpenter who custom made the ladder for us recommended an annual application of Cuprinol No. 10 to keep the ladder from rotting out. The ladder is as good as new after 25 years treating it with Cuprinol. In the off season the ladder would reside in our squirrel infested storage shed. For the first 22 years of the ladder's life I would remove the ladder from the shed and treat it with Cuprinol each Spring prior to putting it in the water and attaching it to the dock. Three years ago I started Cuprinol treatment in the Fall and then put it in the shed for the Winter. The following Spring I noticed that there was no evidence that the squirrels had taken up residence in the shed as they previously had in all previous years. Other squirrels would take up Winter residence in the attic of the cottage and I would trap them with Have-a-Heart traps and would take four or five squirrels out of the attic each year. Last year it occurred to me that the Cuprinol solution, that had apparently worked so well in the storage shed, might also be the solution to the annual squirrel convention in the attic. Since the the ladder had detachable legs I stored the main body of the ladder in the storage shed and the Cuprinol treated wooden ladder legs in the cottage attic. We opened the cottage yesterday and there was no sign of any squirrel activity in either the storage shed or the cottage attic. I don't believe it was coincidental.

wooden boatbuilders secret weapon
great for thrush & white line disease on horses hooves at 1/10the cost
This stuff has an INTENSE smell that lasts for months. I used it under the floor(bilge) of a wooden boat, and had to re-caulk just to reduce the smell by 50 percent. Rob
Very Good Product!
I use this product on treated or non-treated woods that are used outside. Also on basement some basement woods. Simple water like application, easy clean up. Wouldn't be without it.

Squirrel repellent supreme

Only good boat cradle coating left
This is great for wood boat cradles that are usually left outside year after year. I built onefor use in l996 and it sets out side from March to Nov in Lake Erie weather and is in great shape. I recoat it ever other year. This is for a 6800lbs boat so I want a product that does not allow any rot. I also use it on a wood rudder of a small sail boat and over coat with antifouling paint. Always wear paint coveralls with hood, safety glasses, and gloves that resist mild solvents. Use a brush not roller, and tarp if you don't want floor stains. Stuff is like water and splatters Use a chemical mask with canister filters as it smells. Not for use on you back yard patio fence. Great product for specific uses and beats other so called wood preservers for uses like mine.

Found in Menards
The Best Wood Preservative on the market. Used this product whilst building properties in the damp UK(!) have been looking for it in the US. Just happened to be walking through the isles at Menards due to having a moving sale on and saw the cans. Bought all six gallons they had on the shelf and happened to get an extra 25% discount as well!

Happy to Find
Was happy to find material here - used in the past with great sucess where some wood rot had started but not yet progressed significantly. After fixing areas - rot has not returned. Only product that I have found that stops wood rot.
I would buy this product again.
I used it to waterproof window sills and door edges on an old barn.
